DJ Thew is back with a list to kickstart the first weekend of the New Year.


  1. Burna Boy – On The Low

2018 was according to many Burna’s year and as such it’s only right to start the new year with his most recent single. We look forward to seeing what he brings in 2019 and if he’s able to keep his winning streak going.


2. Timaya ft. King Perryy & Patoranking – Kom Kom

Timaya and Patoranking are arguably two of the best within afro dancehall, so when they get together to collaborate the music is a reflection of both their caliber combined.


3. Aya Nakamura – Djadja

If you don’t already, Aya Nakamura is one to watch. The French singer of Malian origin, has an impressive following and a couple chart-topper to her name. Most notably, the song ‘Djadja’ has currently raked up an impressive 277 million views on YouTube less than a year since its release.


4. Ayo Jay ft. Rotimi – 10 over 10

Late last year Ayo Jay released his EP ‘Lazy Genius’, including 7 tracks and some notable featurings such as the world famous Akon, and fellow Nigerian artist Rotimi, probably best known for his acting in the hit series ‘Power’.
